Strengthening capacities and policy engagement of community service providers – IRIS PROGRESS

Project value: 822,770 EUR
Goals: Overall objective is to achieve participatory democracies in EU approximation process of WB countries by advancing regional cooperation and good neighborly relations.


Target groups/stakeholders:

1) more than 220 CSOs service providers/human right defenders in WB

2) at least 18 Ministries in charge for social welfare policies, protection of human

rights and European integration;

3) up to 10 000 marginalized population (Roma, women victims of violence, persons with disability, migrants/refugees, youth at risk, LGBTQ);

4) at least 120 government institutions: Centers for social welfare, National Employment Services, Ombudspersons, Social councils etc.

5) at least 60 Local self-government (LSG) units;

6) EU Institutions and stakeholders involved in the processes

approximation,

7) 12 students from 6 Faculties of social sciences in WB,

8) 1 million of general population,

9) Media.

Main activities

Cluster 1. Empowerment of IRIS network
1.1. Introducing gender mainstreaming methods and tools into IRIS project and programme practices, 1.2. Regional and national network meetings, 1.3. Granting Facility – developing community based services, 1.4. Mentoring for licensing and increasing quality standards, 1.5. Regional Academies, 1.6. Traineeship programme in local CSOs.


Cluster 2. Policy influencing and awareness rising
2.1. Social progress – regional benchmark study, 2.2. Civic promotional dialogue “Towards increased inclusion”, 2.3. Shadow reporting, 2.4. Regional conference „Social dimension of WB EU approximation”, 2.5. Balkan caravan / best HR and social inclusion practices promotion, 2.6. Awareness raising campaigns.

This project is implemented by Inicijativa za razvoj i saradnju (IDC) in partnership with ASB SEE (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund), Centrom za radna prava (CLR) from Albania, LIR CD from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Institut za razvoj zajednice (Community Development Institute) from North Macedonia, Alfa Centar from Montenegro and Centar za nezavisan život sa Kosova*.
