As part of the EMPOWERED – Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, Regional Cooperation and Development in the Western Balkans project, LIR Civil Society continues implementing activities aimed at strengthening the employability and professional competencies of persons with disabilities in the Municipality of Travnik.
Following the successful completion of the vocational training program by 12 participants, who have now received their certificates, a new cycle of the program has begun, involving 8 additional persons with disabilities.
The training program includes a total of 20 participants and provides both theoretical and practical vocational training, with the goal of enhancing participants’ professional skills, improving their employability, and supporting their successful labour market and social integration.
Through the continuation of these training activities, the project contributes to creating a more inclusive labour market while providing persons with disabilities with opportunities to acquire practical knowledge, develop professional competencies, and participate more actively in the social and economic life of their local community.

In cooperation with the Municipality of Travnik, LIR Civil Society is implementing these vocational training activities as part of the EMPOWERED – Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, Regional Cooperation and Development in the Western Balkans project. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) of the Federal Republic of Germany and implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V. (ASB) in partnership with Initiative for Development and Cooperation (IDC) (Serbia), LIR Civil Society (LIR CD) (Bosnia and Herzegovina), PREDA Plus (Kosovo), Community Development Institute (CDI) (North Macedonia), Albanian Disability Rights Foundation (ADRF) (Albania), and Alfa Centar (Montenegro).
