Witihin the project “To promote and protect vulnerable children rights” funded by European Union and implementing by LIR CD and ASB, during the last two months, four Living Libraries and four Family Group Conferences (FGC) were conducted.
Per one Living Library and Family Group Conference were held in Banja Luka and Novi Grad, while two Living Libraries and FGC were held in Cazin in primary, secondary schools and City Hall.
Living libraries were held for primary and secondary school students with the aim of raising awareness of the human rights of young people in marginalized communities, pointing out peer violence and the right and protection mechanisms. The “Living Books” presented their experience when it comes to peer and internet violence, and then the students discussed their problems.
The aim of the Family Group Conferences is to inform training/presentation participants with innovative practices and how to apply the Family Group Conference model in the field of social protection and education system aiming to improve protection and support vulnerable children and youth. Participants were members of the IRIS network, civil society organisations, representatives of Centers for social work, professional school staff, educators and representatives of local self-government.
All workshops were held in accordance with the prescribed epidemiological measures due to Covid 19 pandemic.
