During September 2020, Peer review events are held in Foča and Bihać within the project “To promote and protect vulnerable children rights” implementing by Applicant LIR CD and Co-applicant ASB and funded by EC. Peer review in Foča was held on 11th  of September 2020 with the focus on Children at risk and children with disabilities while several days later, on 17th  of September peer review was held in Bihać discussing the peer violence in order to support the prevention of peer violence. At both gatherings, Local Advocacy Action Plans (LAP) related to the mentioned topics were developed.

At the two-day gathering in Foča, representatives of municipalities, NGOs and Centers for social work from the municipalities of Foča, Goražde, Ustikolina and Gacko presented good practice programs for the target group (children at risk and children with disabilities) and defined recommendations and conclusions.

During the second day of the event, participants from Foča moved towards the development of an Local Advocacy Action Plan to support the children at risk (children with disabilities, at risk of poverty and social exclusion) in order to find adequate space for Daily Center that fulfill standards according to the Law and financial conditions for adequate provision of day care services to all users. The development of the LAP is related to the Anti-Discrimination Advocacy Campaigns and CSO Tračak nade from Foča, member of the IRIS network, will lobby for the development and acceptance of this LAP this month.

At the two-day gathering in Bihać, representatives of municipalities, NGOs and Centers for social work were present from the municipalities of Bihać, Prijedor, Cazin i Novi Grad.

As in Foča, participants presented their good practice programs for the target group on the first day and defined recommendations and conclusions and the next day proceeded with development of Local Advocacy Action Plan to prevent and combat peer violence in order to provide systemic support for preventing and combating peer violence in the city of Bihać as Anti-Discrimination Advocacy Campaign.

This advocacy plan will be presented to local authorities during this month by the member of the IRIS network, CSO Žene sa une, with the aim to support the development of an action plan and consequently its acceptance.
