Psycho-social support workshops for persons with disabilities are currently being held in Foča, with the aim of improving social inclusion and providing support to children and adults with disabilities. So far, 30 workshops have been conducted, using an interactive approach and group work to enable participants to exchange experiences, develop social skills, and become more actively involved in community life.
The workshop topics include the rights of persons with disabilities, the development of independence, strengthening self-esteem and self-confidence, recognizing and preventing discrimination and violence, as well as improving communication and life skills. The activities are implemented by professionals in the fields of psychology, social work, and education, in cooperation with local partners and organizations that provide support to persons with disabilities.
In addition to group activities, participants are also provided with individual support and counselling in accordance with their specific needs, contributing to the empowerment of persons with disabilities and the creation of a more inclusive and accessible society.
